Concerts, stages and bigger nights out
The Zénith Oméga hosts tours by major French and international artists, while Toulon Opera programmes operas, ballets and recitals year-round. Before or after the show, Place de la Liberté and the surrounding streets lend themselves to a drink standing up on lit terraces. A fine excuse to stretch the evening and see whether a second date is already on the dessert menu.
The Darse Nord and the southern side of the bay
On the other side of the roadstead, La Seyne-sur-Mer shows off its renovated quays and famous lifting bridge. It is easily reached by water-bus from the Toulon quays, and the crossing is already worth it. The old docks, now lined with restaurants and pontoons, offer a very pleasant setting for a car-free dinner with the harbour lights as a backdrop.
Var fishing harbours within date distance
Just fifteen minutes away, Sanary-sur-Mer displays its colourful pointu boats and its Provençal market, often listed among the finest in France. A little further on, Hyères and its palm trees invite a stroll. On Lyad, members from Toulon swap getaway ideas and weekend plans; it is up to you to find someone to hit the road with.
